Munich/Melsungen/Niestetal, August 23, 2018
Seven months after the initiation of insolvency proceedings, the business operations of Stanz- und Presswerk Lindner GmbH & Co. KG have been successfully reorganized.
The transferring reorganization was ultimately successfully realized by the conduct of the investor process initiated by the insolvency administrator with the support of FalkenSteg GmbH, a partner-led consulting firm specializing in corporate finance and restructuring at offices in Frankfurt am Main, Munich, and Düsseldorf. Business operations have been managed by LSK Stanz- und Presswerk Lindner GmbH since August 1, 2018. Shareholder and managing director of the new operating company is Christoph Baron von Wangenheim, a private investor from Munich.
Stanz- und Presswerk Lindner GmbH & Co. KG is a full-service supplier for sheet metal working and stamped-bent parts, founded 60 years ago and owner-managed throughout its entire history, with operations in Kassel-Niestetal and Gudensberg; its most recent annual revenue amounted to €15.7 million (2017). The transfer of the operation to the newly founded company saved all 115 jobs and both locations.
After the petition for the initiation of insolvency proceedings was filed at the end of September 2017, business operations were continued by the (provisional) insolvency administrator. With the support of an experienced production manager from sy.con GmbH, whom the insolvency administrator was able to recruit as technical manager for operations, the experienced reorganization expert carried out a company analysis shortly after her appointment as provisional administrator and began to develop and implement reorganization measures. As a result of her efforts, the company had been able to return to profitability when the proceedings were initiated.
After the creditors’ committee approved the asset deal, the creditors’ meeting on August 23, 2018, also gave its approval to the transferring reorganization of the business.
