Careers at BRRS – People who drive our processes
With over 15 years’ experience in insolvency administration, Snjezana Marburger is an integral part of our team. Since joining the BRRS office in Eschborn in April 2008, she has been handling consumer and standard insolvency proceedings, taking charge of their administration – and thereby demonstrating just how varied and demanding the administrative work at BRRS is.
In our staff interview, she talks about her day–to–day work, the challenges she faces and her personal insights gained from many years of practical experience.
Structure, responsibility and diversity in everyday working life
A typical working day for Snjezana Marburger begins with getting an overview of the day’s deadlines and reviewing new incoming correspondence. Her responsibilities range from bookkeeping and recording claims to providing full organisational support throughout a case.
What does she particularly like?
“The variety of the role combined with the opportunity to work independently.” Her biggest challenge is to maintain a clear overview of the numerous concurrent processes whilst ensuring consistently high quality.
Team culture: open, efficient and non–hierarchical
Ms Marburger describes teamwork as efficient and characterised by well–established structures: with little staff turnover, a reliable environment has developed in which everyone works with confidence and autonomy.
She particularly values the “fundamental openness to optimising processes and structures” – a crucial factor in enabling services that meet modern standards.
The fact that there are no formal hierarchies at BRRS and that every individual’s opinion counts is what makes working here special for her.
Career opportunities: From a career change to a certified specialist
When Ms Marburger joined BRRS, she was a qualified legal assistant but a career changer in the field of insolvency administration. Today, she is a qualified and certified insolvency administrator – a career path that demonstrates just how much room there is for personal development at BRRS. “Taking on responsibility has naturally led to my personal development.”
What she advises her future colleagues
She says that many people imagine the insolvency sector to be ‘dry’ – a misconception she is keen to correct: ‘You deal with a huge variety of industries and people. The scope of work is vast and can also be tailored to individual needs. Apply and just come along to find out more.’
In her view, those starting out need not worry: a friendly and helpful team guides you through the induction process and provides active support.
Personal insights
Snjezana Marburger has particularly fond memories of the office outings – especially a hot–air balloon ride that has remained a special memory for her to this day. “Any one of us can find ourselves in financial difficulty. What I particularly enjoy about my work is being able to support people – whether they are creditors or debtors – during difficult times.”
